Open University for Seniors (UOM)

Learning has no age limit.

Are you over 50? You may be interested in taking one of our programmes or activities organised by the UOM: Senior Diploma, Specialist Diplomas, etc. The UOM in the Towns of Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera, UOM Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera.

The Contracts Service processes the administrative contracting records for work, supplies and services at the University of the Balearic Islands.

University Headquarters in Eivissa and Formentera

 

With an aim of palliating the effect of being a non-contiguous territory, the UIB has university headquarters in Eivissa and Formentera, and Menorca.

A former residence for infantry and artillery officers and NCOs built in 1944 houses the Eivissa and Formentera site.

 

University Headquarters Minorca

 

With an aim of palliating the effect of being a non-contiguous territory, the UIB has university headquarters in Eivissa and Formentera, and Menorca.

The Can Salort and Santa Rita buildings, built at the end of the 18th century, have been refurbished to house our Minorcan home. Both buildings are located in the municipality of Alaior, in the centre of the island.

 


Student Residence

The UIB has a student hall of residence located right on the university campus, offering single or shared rooms. All rooms come with an en-suite bathroom, telephone, central heating, internet and access to CampusEsport. Additionally, you can choose between three different board types: bed and breakfast, half board or full board.

Cafeteria and Dining Room Service

 

There are cafeterias and dining rooms spread over the different buildings and offering a full café-bar service (sandwiches, pastries, grills) and a restaurant service with daily set menus (starter, main meal and dessert).

Reprographics

 

The reprographics service has several locations in different buildings on the campus. Below are some of the services available: photocopies, printing of plans in colour and b&w, signage, binding (metallic spiral, thermal binding, etc.), laminating and large-size packaging, sales of office material, etc.
